Tree tubes give you all three!  The Douglas SWCD carries the 4' tree tubes which act like a mini-greenhouse by reducing water loss and recycling the available water vapor evaporated by your trees.  The result is fast growth and high survival.  Tree tubes are double-walled photodegradable plastic tubes which will break down after 5-7 years, leaving well established trees in their places.  During the time that the tube is in place, it will protect your trees from deer, rabbits, rodents, wind and drought, mowers, chemical spray, and livestock.  Please note: The 4' tubes are not suitable for conifers, however, a 1' tube would work for them.
